Research, development and implementation of an interactive mathematical
notebook within the Mathematica® system based on computerized
algebra. The project included a characterization of a novel mechanical system
for speed conversion and provided a design and analysis functionality to
the Client. The effort included a kinematic solver and a nonlinear finite
element formulation for general six-point contact analysis. The implementation
included many new Mathematica® functions in approximately 1.5 megabytes
of programming. An on-line interactive help utility and automatic programming
templates were included. An implementation of an interactive slide presentation
including text and animated graphics was used for marketing and development
by the Client.
